Further delays

Dear Family and friends.

The saga of delayed holiday plans continues.

Last Monday I went to see the specialist thinking I would get the all clear and we would be off and away. Ken didn't come with me, he stayed behind thinking I would be in and out in no time and when I got back we would be off and away. I got a positive result on the bowel CT and the nurse was right when she said I need not spend my weekend worrying about the result. But..... the radiographer has picked up something totally separate from the bowel problem. There is a problem with my Common Bile Duct being not quite right. It may be the reason for the double positive on the bowel cancer screen sample. So, as a result I am having an M.R.I. done tomorrow at Traralgon, then I see the specialist next Wed to hear the results.

In the meantime while we wait I can spend my time cleaning our new van. Yes!!!
I did say new van, well second hand, but new for us. It is a Coromal, 22ft with a combination shower and toilet. It has a cafe style table, plus a long couch. It has a full oven and a front load washing machine which will save us heaps of money on washing expenses. We will take some photos and post them on the blog over the next few days.

We have been doing a clean out as we put things away as we realise we had too much weight on board so today, Thursday, we took a heap of stuff back to Bairnsdale to put in the shed. We will continue to weed out as much as we can to keep the weight down.


We have had some very heavy rain here at Sale over the time we have been here and it is getting quite soggy underfoot, though I must say it is lovely to lay in bed listening to the rain on the roof.
